Saturday 11, Feb 2012 Trail Ride at Roberts Farm
CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER
Time: 11:00 – 1:30
Food: Bring saddlebag snacks/sandwiches to eat on the trail.
Directions:
From Athens go north on highway 99, cross the Elk River and go
approximately 1 ½ miles. Turn left onto Patterson Hill Rd
(in the middle of a sharp curve in the road). Go to the top of the hill
and turn left onto Gray Ridge Road. Follow this road until it turns to
gravel and comes to a gate (White house on your right). Go through that
gate and the next gate about ¼ mile further down the road and
park in field on left.
Ride Difficulty: Moderate - Beautiful scenery. Not a long ride. Some medium grade hills.

Saturday 10, March 2012 Trail Ride at Copley Farm/ TVA land
960County Rd 605 Rogersville, Al 35652
Time: 10:30 – 2:30 Benefit ride for “Gaits to Heaven Ministry”
Food: Barn
lunch and fellowship with devotion before the ride. Bring everything
(food/drink/utensils) you need for you/your family and join us in this
pot luck event.
Options: 1) Bring a picnic lunch and can drinks for
yourself/family
2) Share a
favorite crockpot dish (stew, chile,soup) with all
3)Share a favorite dessert.
Other: Don't forget your Lounge chair and invite a friend. Napkins & extra bottled water provided.
This months fellowship serves to
kickoff the spring and our 2012 year, but more importantly support an
important ministry. Cap donations will be taken to support Linda
Grajewski's “Gaits to Heaven” Ministry. Also any tack or saddle donations are appreciated.

Directions:
Take 72 W from Athens to Rogersville, about 25 miles. Cross over Elk
River bridge continue another 3 3/4 miles into Rogersville. Turn Left
at red light. McDonalds is on the corner. Continue for 2 1/2
miles and turn Left on Co Rd 605. (There is a blue county road sign on
the right,
just prior to the turnoff) Continue for 1 mile, pass Little Zion
Cemetery in curve. Copley driveway is third on Left pass the cemetery.
Paved driveway approx 0.5 mile, come around house and continue to barn
and park in back pasture. Watch for blue and white Cowboys for Christ
flags.
NOTE: If
it has been raining, please contact Bridgyt Copley at (256) 247-7180 hm
(256) 627-8338 cell to see if the ride is still on as parking gets
difficult if the ground is wet. RAIN DATE MARCH 17.
Ride Difficulty: Easy. Wooded trails, some open fields

Time: Parade starts at 11AM
Anyone interested in participating in the Mule Day parade, meet at Elkmont Exit 361 (Elkmont and Sandlin Road) at 7AM.

Saturday 14, April 2012 Trail
Ride and optional Campout at Laurel
Hill Wildlife Mgt. Area
Time: 11:00 – 3:00
Food: Bring saddle bag snacks or sandwiches and a drink to eat on the trail
Directions:
From Lawrenceburg, TN, go West on Hwy 64 for 13 miles, turn right on
scenic road, go ¼ mile and turn right on Genson road. Go
¾ mile and take the left fork in the road. The parking area is
about ¾ miles after the fork. If you are interested in camping,
the campgrounds are on the left between the fork and the parking area.
Campground contact 931-772-4442. Please note the directions above, on
previous rides at Laurel Hills we have left from the Finnie Road
parking area on the other side of the management area.
Note: Currently there is no gravel on the campground. ..Hoping that will change by our campout date.
Ride Difficulty:
Moderate, with a few difficult sections. Beautiful wooded ride along
creeks and Laurel Hill Lake and plenty of watering spots for the horses
along the way.
